HUANG LABORATORY
Computational biophysics and soft materials

About us

The Huang Lab is interested in the multiscale modeling of soft matter, with focuses on the physical architecture of genome, the phase separation of disordered proteins, and the rational design of stimuli-responsive polymeric materials. We use both field-based and particle-based methods to study the structural and dynamic properties of complex molecular assemblies. We develop theoretical and computational tools to provide new insights into the organization of “disordered” biomacromolecules. A deep understanding of the biological systems can inspire us to design new therapeutic strategies, smart materials, and artificial intelligence.
